YC Dance Academy – RegueTone Dance Class

  • Every Monday night at 7pm in the Purple Room

A powerful fusion of reggaetón and dance fitness, designed for those who want to train hard, have fun, and move with energy.

House Ball Scotland – Vogue Fem Workshop

  • Friday, February 6th at 7:30pm-9pm

HBS is thrilled to host a workshop by The New Legendary European Queen Mother Bodega.

The voguing sensation,the European Queen Mother Don Diva Alizé Tinkerbell!

Alizé derives from the ballroom community in London and has been voguing for 8 years consecutively. She’s an international sensation, won many balls in countries such as France, Germany, Netherlands, and Italy, just to name a few also holds a OTY under their belt for their consecutive run in their first year walking. Alizé has since then extended her knowledge on to others in London where she teaches vogue fem classes. Dominating his craft Alizé continues to take her practices and level up each time and is one of the favourite battle cat vogue fems here in Europe.

The National Youth Theatre – Book Storytelling Workshop

  • Friday, February 13th @ 2pm-5pm

Taking place in cities across the UK, these are an opportunity for NYT Members to work with a writer to develop and hone a script or an idea. Through a 3-hour session, you’ll work with a writer in small groups to explore principles of writing, learn tips to create your own writer’s toolkit, and gain practical support in developing an idea for a brand-new script or story.

Culture Code – Ukrainian Ceilidh

Join Culture Code for a Ukrainian Ceilidh, an evening of live music, traditional dances, and warm community spirit. This folk dance workshop with live Ukrainian music will be suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced dancers.

Light Painting with Lee – Light Painting Workshop

  • Sunday, February 15th @ 2pm-4pm

Step into a blackout room and learn the art of light painting, a creative photography technique using long exposure and controlled light sources to craft stunning effects. Perfect for beginners and experienced photographers!

Culture Club – Dancing in Glasgow

  • Sunday, February 22nd

Join the Culture Club every month for an afternoon of dancing, music, chat and much more!

The Culture Club Collective is a group which was formed to celebrate the lives of LGBTQIA Elders, to create places where we can connect, have a blether, and have a good time. It is specially designed for older LGBTQIA people, but all are welcome who want to come and uplift this group and join the party!

In Cahootz – No Joke

  • February 26-28

In Cahootz new play, No Joke, is set in Glendreich, in a society where laughing is banned and everyone obeys the orders of Our Glorious Leader. Provost Grum, Leader of the Council, is determined that Glendreich will defeat its nearest rival, Dulltown, to win the SAD (Societies Against Disorder) Award. The play charts the story of how Davie and Martine help Resistance leader Annie and her underground movement to challenge the regime and restore laughter and fun to the populace.

Returning as their playwright this year is writer and Actor Linda Duncan McLaughlin, who worked alongside three participants in a writers’ room format. They followed the process of taking the ideas generated in the consultation workshops with participants and recovery organisations, forming them into a script.

The Boardwalk is a creative, accessible venue in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City with a variety of meeting, performance, studio, and event spaces for hire. Our colourful building is adorned with artwork and has a large foyer and fully functional theatre with a capacity of up to 180 people.
