Modern Love | Atelier 32
We can’t wait for Modern Love, a sharp and thought-provoking play, to come to The Boardwalk. This production explores the complexities of relationships, heartbreak, and human connection. As Estelle and Andrew navigate the difficult weeks following the end of their long-term relationship, they are forced to confront lingering emotions, shared routines, and the realities of moving on. Blending humour, tension, and honesty, Modern Love offers a compelling look at what happens when love changes and how we treat one another when the word love is involved.

A Waiting Game | Untold Stories
A Waiting Game is a verbatim play that spotlights overlooked experiences of breast cancer. Using an intersectional lens, it centres marginalised voices and personal testimonies often missing from mainstream discussion. The play explores cultural disparities through a South Asian perspective, LGBTQ+ identities, infertility, mental health, and addiction, as well as the impacts of medication. It also addresses cancer during COVID-19, male experiences of a feminised illness, relationship breakdown, financial hardship, and ageing. Performed by professional actors alongside participants with lived experience gathered over a four-year research project, the work powerfully reflects the complexity of living with cancer.
