Our venue is more than just a place to celebrate. As a social enterprise run by community arts charity Impact Arts, every booking goes directly towards life-changing creative programmes that support vulnerable people of all ages in our local community in Glasgow and across Central Scotland.

Festive Day Out 🎁
What’s included?

Creative Activity Option 1: Festive Macramé Workshop
Bring a touch of handmade charm to your Christmas celebrations with a festive macramé workshop. Led by an experienced facilitator, you’ll learn simple knotting techniques to create miniature Christmas trees by wrapping baubles in decorative macramé. Attendees can expect to complete one or two items during a relaxing 2-hour creative session.
Creative Activity Option 2: Brass Mistletoe or Holly Workshop
Celebrate the season with a unique brass crafting experience. You’ll be guided through cutting mistletoe or holly leaves from thin brass sheets, then shape and emboss them using simple forming techniques. The leaves are then assembled with twisted wire, beads, and finished with velvet ribbon to create a beautiful, everlasting decoration.

The Boardwalk is a creative, accessible venue in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City with a variety of meeting, performance, studio, and event spaces for hire. Our colourful building is adorned with artwork and has a large foyer and fully functional theatre with a capacity of up to 180 people. We can also provide delicious and diverse catering options and a drinks service.
